Starting treatment can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone. You can make a referral yourself or have a support service refer you with your consent.

Once we receive it, our Intake Team will reach out for a friendly chat and set up a time for your assessment.

Your Assessment

Within 48 hours, we’ll let you know the outcome and what the next steps look like.

Frequently asked questions

  • How will I know if I am accepted?

The Intake team will contact the person who completed the referral to let them know the outcome of the assessment. The outcome is usually received in writing within 48 hours after the assessment.

  • When can I start?

If accepted into the program a bed can be booked straight away depending on availability. Alternately beds can be booked in the future at a suitable date.

  • How much will it cost?

CAAAPU is $200 per week which includes full bed, board, meals, program and support. This payment can be deducted directly through Centrelink

  • What if I have sorry business?

CAAAPU understands there are times when clients have external commitments. Under special circumstances CAAAPU can assist in organising ‘Leave’. The days away on Leave are added to the completion date so the full 56 days are always completed.

  • What if I have already been to CAAAPU before?

There is no limit to the number of times you can come to CAAAPU. We are happy to support previous clients on their healing journey.

  • Can I continue to work while at CAAAPU?

Clients are required to attend compulsory programs Monday – Friday and reside at CAAAPU for 8 weeks. For this reason, it is not possible to continue external employment while in the program.

  • Will I be able to see my family?

We encourage clients to remain connected to family and friends while participating in the program. Weekly visitation is available onsite, Saturday and Sunday, 1pm – 4pm.
