About CAAAPU
Our Story
Since 1991, CAAAPU has been a place of hope and healing for Aboriginal people in Central Australia impacted by alcohol and other drugs. Nestled on a 4-hectare property just outside Alice Springs, our grounds are enriched with native gardens and cultural spaces where Traditional Owners share knowledge and lead programs that nurture connection to culture, country, and community. Here, evidence-based treatments walk hand-in-hand with traditional Aboriginal healing, creating a unique pathway to recovery that is both strong in culture and grounded in innovation. Together with our partner Aboriginal agencies, CAAAPU continues to deliver responsive and culturally safe rehabilitation services that restore wellbeing, strengthen resilience, and empower individuals, families, and communities to thrive.
